Young entrepreneurs attend Cradle-iCube Open Day

KUCHING: Local young entrepreneurs attended the Cradle-iCube Open Day programme yesterday.
Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd acting chief executive officer Razif Abdul Aziz and iCube Innovation founder and chairman Datuk Patrick Liew shared on expansion plans and growth in promoting competition, entrepreneurship, and innovation for Sarawak entrepreneurs.
The Cradle Investment Programme (CIP), which provides funding opportunities from an early stage in the entrepreneurship journey, was also introduced.
During the session, iCube Innovations success stories were also shared.
The ‘Sarawak Startup Ecosystem – An Ecosystem Overlooked’ featured Digital Economy Sarawak chief scientist and chief advisor Prof Jugdutt Singh, Sarawak Entrepreneur Association president David Chew, and RJ Machine Solution Sdn Bhd CEO/co-founder Christine Jamie Vincent Eddy.
Cradle is an agency incorporated under the Ministry of Finance with a mandate to fund potential and high-calibre tech start-ups through CIP.
Cradle has helped with funding for over 700 Malaysian tech start-ups and holds the highest commercialisation rate amongst government grants in the country.
